Marketing for small businesses can be a difficult task. Fortunately there is a vast array of available software and internet resources, everything from bulk email tools to customer relatiship management, viral media and social networking. In the internet age there are a large number of tools available to the small business owner at an affordable price, if not for free. However it can be challenging to do the necessary research to evaluate them, let alone implement and maintain them. MarketingRooster’s mission is to evaluate the marketing tools and practices available to small business in order to give an informative “wake up call” about what is most effective and useful. We conduct interviews of small businesses and entrepreneurs to show what works well for certain industries, and our own extensive research and evaluations of available tools and practices.

Through the aggregate research of the marketing community we are building a best practices guide. Because of the dynamic nature of technology and communication, this guide must be equally fluid, which is why the blog format is most appropriate. We strive to always cover the most informative and relevant new information, as well as giving a comprehensive view of the tried and true internet marketing practices for small business.
